Biography

Born in Toronto, Ontario, Adrienne Dagg is an artist who explores the dynamic narrative power of figurative painting. With oil paint as her primary medium, she wields a naturalistic, expressive style and mixes it with a surrealist twist.

A recipient of the prestigious Elizabeth Greenshields Award, she graduated with a BFA from Concordia University in Montreal in 2011 and received her MFA from the University of Alberta in Edmonton in 2020. Her work has been exhibited across Canada and the United States and is held in many private collections.

Adrienne Dagg has taught at the University of Alberta and is currently teaching Painting and Drawing at Red Deer Polytechnic.

Scholarly Activity

Adrienne’s current area of research is on gender and gender relationships within domestic spaces. Her work utilizes collage, painting and drawing as a means to create narratives and allegories.
