Although Alberta Health Services (AHS) is not currently mandating COVID-19 vaccinations, not all sites where we currently place have announced changes to their policies. AHS rescinded its COVID-19 Immunization Policy effective July 18, 2022. This policy rescindment only applies to AHS, Covenant Health, Carewest, CapitalCare, and Alberta Precision Laboratories. Other sites may continue to require vaccinations in order for students to participate in clinical. IMPORTANT! If an outbreak is declared by AHS and affects the site where you are doing a placement, you will be required to leave the placement if you do not have proof of vaccination. You will not be allowed to return until the outbreak is declared by AHS to be over. Interruption of your placement can jeopardize program completion. |
