Biography
Alice received her MSc in Physics & Astronomy under the supervision of Dr. Erik Rosolowsky at the University of Alberta. Her thesis focused on creating the first 2D metallicity map of a face-on, (relatively) nearby spiral galaxy (M33). While completing her BSc at the University of Victoria, Alice had the opportunity to work at both the Herzberg Institute of Astrophysics (just outside of Victoria, BC) and the Gemini South Observatory (in Chile). Alice is passionate about finding the fun in everyday situations, making scientific knowledge accessible to all, and Oxford commas.
