Red Deer Polytechnic looks forward to resuming more in-person course and service delivery at our campuses and learning centres starting Monday, February 28. For complete details about what this includes, please refer to our current update

 

Respect One Another as We Navigate Change Together

As we return to more in-person teaching, learning and activities at Red Deer Polytechnic, thank you for working together and considering others as we find our way together, as a campus community.

Below, you will find information about strongly encouraged measures when you come to our campuses and learning centres, and there are also details about accessing main campus.

Stay Home if Ill
Stay Home if You are Ill

Individuals who are ill should remain at home. If you suspect your illness may be related to COVID-19, then visit the Alberta Health Services website for more information.

Consider wearing a face covering, as this provides protection from the transmission of illness, including COVID-19. 

Vaccination
Get Vaccinated

Vaccination remains an effective way to mitigate the effects of COVID-19. Consider getting your vaccination and booster shot. Learn more at Alberta Health Services

Wash your hands
Wash/Sanitize Your Hands

Wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer regularly. More than 300 hand sanitizer stations have been installed throughout our campuses. 

Maintain a physical distance
Keep Your Distance

Whenever possible in common spaces, maintain a two-metre distance from others. 

Illness Reporting
Complete an Illness Reporting Form

Complete an Illness Reporting form as described in Illness Reporting Procedures. This applies to all employees and students, whether you have attended our campuses or learning centres in-person or study/work online.  

Accessing Main Campus

View this map to identify the various entrances that will be open on main campus. Most entrances will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday. In addition:

  • Main Entrance 
    • Open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week 
  • Four Centres (main and east entrances)  
    • Open 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, 7 days per week 
  • Library (west entrance)
  • Arts Centre (west entrance):
    • Open 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, 7 days per week
  • Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre 
    • north and south entrances 
      • Open 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, Monday to Friday (unless otherwise stated for booked events)
      • Open 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday (unless otherwise stated for booked events)

Please note that document checks will not occur at any entrance.
