Apprenticeship Housing
RDP Residence is committed to creating safe and flexible housing options to meet the needs of our apprenticeship students here on campus this year.
You can begin to register for Apprenticeship housing after you have registered for your program. You must have access to your RDP Username and Password.
Apprenticeship students have two options available during their courses here at RDP. Prices listed below are in effect from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.

Description |
Students that choose the Full Stay option will be provided housing for the entire duration of their apprenticeship program here at RDP. |
Students that choose the Partial Stay option will be provided housing for the period of in-person on-campus course delivery only. |

Monday-Friday for the weeks of on-campus course delivery only. Check in Monday with a check out by noon on the Friday of that week. If your course only requires you to be on campus for 1-3 days per week, a daily charge is available instead. |

Unit Style dependent and based on availability. Residence Staff will assign a space based on availability and indicated preferences. Unit type is not guaranteed.

No linens, or furnishings provide. Unit comes with all furniture. Check-ins only occur weekdays Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. If you require accommodations earlier due to your ability to start your course on the Monday please reach out to request a Friday prior check-in at a prorated additional cost. |

Application Instructions

Step 1: Residence Account Registration (Only for New Students to Residence) Click on the link below. You will be redirected to enter your RDP Loop credentials. These credentials will be provided to new students typically through the mail after acceptance. Once entered this will send personal details to our Residence Housing System to create you an account to begin the application process. This will send: First Name, Last Name, Student ID, Personal Email Address. Residence account creation does take approx (1) hour to complete. Please complete the next steps after (1) hour. If you have lived in Residence since Fall 2019 please continue directly to Step 2. Please note that you must have received RDP Loop Credentials to begin the registration process. Step 2: Residence Portal Login into the Residence Portal through the link below. Click Login in the right corner. Click log in with an external service: RDC- Student SSO Login. This will now ask for your RDP username and password (same as logging into the Loop). Step 3: Applying for Residence Click the Applying for Housing Tab. Click on the appropriate Apprenticeship Term. You will be prompted to enter your demographic and contact information. You will be prompted to provide your Specific Course. Please enter your course section in the drop-down list (ie. AST 401A). You will be prompted to select Partial or Full Stay. Complete the remainder of the application. Step 4: Pay for Application Once you have completed your application an application fee will be required. This is payable online through the application. Step 5: Residence Offer Following your application, a member of the residence team will contact you to verify your application and applicable stay dates. Following this conversation, the Residence staff will indicate if your application has been accepted or waitlisted. If accepted, the residence staff will process your application to move to a rental agreement and booking stage. If you are waitlisted, the residence staff will contact you if they are able to move you off of the waitlist. |
Residence Acceptance
If your application has been accepted Residence staff will move forward with securing your Residence booking in an available unit here on campus.
You will be expected to sign a Residence Rental Agreement prior to arrival, pay your Residence Fees in Full, and abide by all Residence rules and regulations upon check-in.
Please note that due to COVID-19 there may be additional precautions in place for your stay such as limited access to common areas, and rules around guests in Residence. Failure to follow guidelines may result in disciplinary action including eviction from Residence or cancellation of future stays.
