Biography

Adrienne Dagg is a Canadian-born Artist and Art Educator hailing from Toronto, Ontario. Her artistic journey is marked by academic training, having studied painting at Concordia University and the University of Alberta. Adrienne Dagg’s creative work and research focuses on pushing the boundaries of traditional figurative painting. Her work has garnered recognition, including the Elizabeth Greenshields Award for figurative art, and has received support from institutions such as the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, the Edmonton Arts Council, and the Calgary Foundation. With years of experience showcasing and exhibiting across Canada, Dagg continues to contribute to the broader artistic community, while also bringing a wealth of practical insight and a rich artistic perspective to her role at Red Deer Polytechnic. Currently a dedicated faculty member in the school of Arts and Education, teaching Painting, Drawing and 2D Fundamentals. Dagg’s teaching philosophy revolves around fostering creativity, critical thinking, and technical proficiency among her students.
