Our Unique Partnerships
Red Deer Polytechnic is proud of the partnerships that we have with organizations in communities and around the globe.
Through collaboration, RDP provides vast learning opportunities for students while also advancing Alberta’s economic and social priorities.
Learn more below about some of the Polytechnic's unique partnerships.
Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre
RDP has partnered with the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre (CACAC) to house the new Sheldon Kennedy Centre of Excellence in the southwest area on main campus.
The organizations, including CACAC, that are housed in the Sheldon Kennedy Centre of Excellence provide essential, integrated services for families in need.
RDP students from a variety of programs will engage in meaningful ways through their programs of study, work-integrated learning and applied research opportunities.
Campus Alberta Central
Campus Alberta Central (CAC) is a joint venture between Red Deer Polytechnic and Olds College of Agriculture & Technology.
Together, we provide post-secondary programs to communities throughout the central Alberta region.
CAC works with community members and local employers to identify high-demand programs in areas such as trades, health care, business and human services.
NESC Technical Institute and University of Trinidad & Tobago
RDP collaborates internationally to create a positive impact in communities outside of Canada.
In Trinidad & Tobago, we've partnered to enhance training, research and innovation, while also participating in cultural exchanges.
RDP's faculty and staff provide expertise in supervising research and innovation activities at NESC Technical Institute and UTT, helping to solve economic and societal challenges.
NESC Technical Institute
Red Deer Polytechnic and NESC Technical Institute collaborate to support apprenticeship training in Trinidad & Tobago.
Since 2008, RDP has provided skilled trades training, Red Seal Exam preparation, curriculum development and certification.
These are just some of the ways in which RDP's partnership has been a success.
Robertson College Partnership
Red Deer Polytechnic and Robertson College collaborate to offer training in RDP's business, computing and early learning and child care programming.
Students attend Robertson College’s Calgary campus. Graduating students receive an RDP credential.
