Award & Scholarship Opportunities
Current Students
Current student award and scholarship opportunities are found in MyRDP. Log in to your MyRDP account and navigate to the Awards and Scholarships section to view all opportunities currently accepting applications.
RDP has various awards running throughout the year. Be sure to check your MyRDP Awards and Scholarships page often to ensure you're taking advantage of the amazing opportunities offered year-round.
Red Deer Polytechnic's General Awards Application
- Current Students – What’s stopping you? Apply today!
- New and Prospective Students – Begin by first applying for admission to RDP. Once you have been issued a MyRDP account username and password, you can then proceed to complete the General Awards Application.
- Apprentices – You must have attended or be registered in a technical training period in the current academic year (August 2024 – July 2025) in order to complete the General Awards Application. You do not need to be currently attending classes in order apply – as long as you have attended technical training this academic year or are registered to begin before July 2024.
Deadline to apply: May 31, 2025
Award winners will be notified via email to their RDP email address. Be sure to check your RDP email regularly and keep your contact information up to date with RDP to ensure you do not miss out on any award notifications.
Red Deer Polytechnic Building on Excellence Academic Award
Who said there is no such thing as free money? If you are a current high school student planning to attend a credit program at Red Deer Polytechnic next fall, with an average of 80% or higher in five 5-credit grade 11 or grade 12 subjects, you could get $1,000 awards towards your tuition. It’s easy to apply!
Fall 2025 Applicants: Beginning October 1, 2024, email your transcript or Detailed Academic Report to the Student Connect Centre and be sure to provide an up-to-date email address and phone number.
There are limited scholarships to be awarded. Be sure to apply early!
Red Deer Polytechnic Athletics Awards & Scholarships
Current and prospective Red Deer Polytechnic student-athletes may be eligible for athletic awards and scholarships. Connect with the Red Deer Polytechnic team’s head coach to discuss your athletic award eligibility.
Series Summer Arts Work Scholarship
If you will be attending a Series Workshop at Red Deer Polytechnic and have a passion for lifelong learning, you should apply for the Series Summer Arts School Scholarship.
Note: Preference will be given to applicants who have not received this award in the past.
