Dan Whiteside

Biography

Dan Whiteside is an award-winning, published author. He has published the novels, Black Menagerie & Frost and Flame under the pseudonym David Daniels. He has also worked for BioWare where he wrote dialogue and did story and level design on Neverwinter Nights, Dragon Age, and other AAA games. His work on NeverWinter Nights: Kingmaker was awarded a prestigious CRPG of the year award by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences. He has also presented research papers on gender studies and popular culture at international conferences. Dan also constantly seeks new and interesting ways to address student engagement and has gamified his Storytelling 2 class, which students have begun to refer to as D&D class.
