Elissa Odgren
Biography
While earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology, Elissa worked in a herpetology lab and participated in several field research projects. After completing her Bachelor of Education degree, she taught high school biology in the Caribbean and worked in adult education for a school board in northern Ontario.
Elissa then switched to a college environment and began teaching a variety of subjects to upgrading students with an emphasis on biology, chemistry and mathematics. Shortly after arriving in Red Deer, she studied at the University of Calgary to obtain a Master of Education in Adult, Community and Higher Education.
She then completed a Master of Science in Biology through the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Elissa has been teaching academic upgrading courses in post-secondary institutions since 2008.
