Biography

Peter has extensive experience as both a 3D artist and an educator. His past work has contributed to both VfX for feature film as well as video game cinematics, where he worked as a lead modeling/texturing and lighting artist. You can check out his IMDB filmography here

Since 1999, Peter has also been working as an instructor and curriculum developer at several post-secondary institutions across North America and central Europe. In 2015, Peter worked as part of the team that helped develop Red Deer Polytechnic’s Bachelor of Applied Arts in Animation And Visual Effects program. He has been involved from the 2018 launch of the degree right until the present day, where he works as department head and as an instructor.   

In 2019, Peter won the Award of Excellence for his work developing the Animation and Visual Effects program. 

For the 2023/24 academic year, Peter has taken on the role of Chair for the School of Creative Arts.  

Peter urgently believes that one should never stop practicing and learning their craft. It is vital to always be working through one personal project to the next in order to try his best to stay on the bleeding edge of animation and visual effects and games, whether that be with VR, or AI or whatever else might be the next thing that his students need to know.
