
Shauna Garrow
Biography
Shauna Garrow completed the Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor of Education combined-degrees program at the University of Alberta. She specialized in the Secondary Education Route, with a major in Physical Sciences and a minor in Mathematics. Following her time in Edmonton, Shauna pursued a Master of Science degree in Chemistry at San Diego State University, with research in inquiry-based learning of chemistry. Prior to teaching physics, math, and chemistry with the Academic Upgrading program at Red Deer Polytechnic, Shauna taught physics and chemistry in Cardiff, Wales, and chemistry with RDP’s Faculty of Science and the Instrumentation Program. As the curriculum lead in physics for Academic Upgrading, Shauna has been thrilled to pursue opportunities to maintain her interest and currency in physical sciences and math including a visit to the Large Hadron Collider (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland.
