Hope After Hardship: Discussion in Resilience After Trauma

RDP's Psychology Student Society invites you to an informative symposium featuring a meaningful discussion led by keynote speaker Tyler Pelke, City of Red Deer’s Deputy Chief of Emergency Services. Pelke will speak about his own experiences of overcoming trauma and his work as a first responder. He has shared his story nationwide during the past few years, giving speeches at schools and various events.
Pelke's presentation will be followed by an engaging discussion panel moderated by RDP faculty member Dr. Stephen Brown. Panelists will also include Dr. Anomi Bearden, Dr. Jones Adjei and Darnel Forro (RDP Faculty members), Jessica Dewald (President of RDP's Psychology Student Society), Nicole Jones (Climbing Tree Mentorship/Volunteer Coordinator with Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre), Tyler Pelke and other industry professionals.
This event is intended to create awareness about how hope and resilience can positively affect each person individually, in their families and their community.
