International Day of LGBTQIA+ People in STEM

November 18 is the International Day of LGBTQIA+ People in STEM. Students, faculty and the public are invited to celebrate diversity, inclusion and innovation at RDP’s first Queer Pride in STEM event.
The event will kick off in the Centre for Innovation in Manufacturing (CIM-TAC) with live demonstrations of industrial robots, 3D scanning, laser cutting and 3D printing. This will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with a group of RDP faculty and researchers, who will talk about their successes and the challenges they have faced as 2SLGBTQIA+ people working in STEM.
Registration for this event is free and open to ages 14 and up. Minors must be accompanied by a supervising adult. NOTE: Closed-toe shoes must be worn to participate in the CIM-TAC demonstrations.
