Student Aid Info Sessions

The 2025-2026 application for student loans and grants are available on the Alberta Student Aid website. Visit Home | Alberta Student Aid to access the application. 

Red Deer Polytechnic will host “in-person” student loan information sessions for new and continuing students (who are residents of Alberta) to provide an overview of the application process and answer questions about completing the 2025-2026 Alberta Student Aid application. 

Registration is required as space is limited

Information session dates and times: 

• Thursday, June 19 | 6 pm - 7 pm | Location: RDP The Cornerstone (Room 1500)
• Thursday, June 26 | 6 pm - 7 pm | Location: RDP The Cornerstone (Room 1500) 

The following information will be required to apply for Alberta Student Aid. Please gather the information prior to completing your online application: 

• A verified Alberta.ca account. Learn more about obtaining a verified Alberta.ca account here.
• Your Social Insurance Number (SIN).
• Your total income amount from last year (Line 15000 from your 2024 Income Tax Return).
• Your Alberta Student Number (ASN). Not sure what your ASN is? Look it up.
• Your RDP student ID number and MyRDP login details (username and password).
• Your personal, biographical, academic, and financial information.
• Studies information (program name, year of study, study period start/end dates).
• Education costs for the 2025/2026 study period (tuition, mandatory fees, books/supplies and computer costs).
• Dependent students will be required to provide their parents/guardians' name(s) and 2024 Income Tax Return Line 15000s among other family information.
• Married/common law students will be required to provide their partner's SIN and 2024 Income Tax Return Line 15000 among other personal information.
• Students with disabilities are encouraged to discuss their situation with RDP's Accessibility Services. Additional grants may be available through Alberta Student Aid – paperwork may be required.
