Walking Together: The Research Ethics Board's Role in Supporting Research with Indigenous Communities
OCAP® is a set of principles created to address the historically problematic relationship between First Nation communities and researchers, academics, and other data collectors. Research Ethics Boards act as the primary check and balance for ethical research in an institutional setting.
Join members of RDP’s Research Ethics Board for a conversation about best practices and protocols when engaging in research with Indigenous Communities – including research design and decision-making, privacy, confidentiality and consent. All faculty and staff are welcome.
Attendees who have specific questions are encouraged to email them in advance.
Red Deer Polytechnic’s Research Common is a place where faculty, staff, and students can get assistance with research and scholarly activities.
