The Complex Care and Patient Navigator micro-credential course teaches you how to assist patients and their families in understanding and navigating the healthcare system, treatment options, and available resources. You will learn how to coordinate care and support patients in advocating for themselves.

Admission Recommendations

We recommend applicants be registered healthcare professionals in Canada or USA who are in good standing with their College.

For non-regulated health professionals, we recommend a minimum requirement of

  1. A bachelor's degree in a health-related field

    1. i.e. public health, health promotion, psychology (unlicensed), kinesiology (unlicensed), etc., 

  2. At least one year of relevant healthcare experience

    AND

  3. Extensive knowledge of health care and social services systems, good knowledge of community resources, groups and social networks.
