We invite you to learn to dance like a Royal (RDP’s competitive dance team) and unlock your creativity!

Unleash your passion for dance and join us for this week-long dance camp based on JAZZ! With a focus on enhancing your flexibility, technique and strength, this dance camp will help you enhance your cross-the-floor turns and progressions. You'll learn high-energy choreography and perform it for your family and friends on the final day!

Train, grow and have fun with Sports Camps at RDP!

Unlock your potential on and off the field at our week-long sports camps. Our sports camps offer diverse athletic experiences for all ages and skill levels. With expert coaches and state-of-the-art facilities, campers can refine their skills in basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton and more. Beyond physical training, we emphasize sportsmanship, leadership and character development to help campers become well-rounded players.

Competitive campers can attend camps specific to the sport they are most passionate about or participate in All Sports, where they will have the opportunity to explore multiple different sports.  

Senior-level Sports Camps are customized clinics led by professional coaches and college-level athletes. Athletes are challenged physically and mentally as they grow their critical thinking, communication and team-building skills on and off the field or court.

A Summer Theatre School for Kids

Artstrek is a summer theatre school for teens that provides professional learning with theatre artists and educators in a collaborative environment. Artstrek is more than 60 years old and has 10,000+ alumni working across Alberta, Canada and the world. Artstrek students explore the creative process through five daily classes that include the study of acting, movement, voice, devising, design, directing and dramaturgy. All of these classes take inspiration from a single play of study. Students become a part of the Artstrek community and create friendships that will last a lifetime.

Each week-long “Exploration” takes place within the performing arts facilities at RDP. Students stay in dormitories on campus and eat meals together in the RDP cafeteria. Classes run daily from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Artstrek Supervisors lead fun activities each evening.

Theatre Alberta recruits leading theatre educators and professional artists from across Alberta to teach at Artstrek. Our instructors bring extensive practical and academic knowledge to the program and connect participants directly to the theatre scene in Alberta.

The Visual Arts Workshop for Teens

Take risks, challenge yourself and develop as an artist and individual. Strengthen and expand your creative skills in this focused, hands-on workshop using materials and techniques not available in traditional programs!

Be motivated and inspired by professional artists!

During this overnight camp, you can experience: 

• Painting, drawing, ceramics and sculpting 

• Personal expression through the creation of multiples, including posters, zines and wearable art 

• Teamwork and collaboration with other artists as you develop a large mural for public display at Red Deer Polytechnic
