Biography

Alex graduated from Red Deer Polytechnic’s Practical Nurse Program in 2013. From there she began her career working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatrics at Red Deer Regional Hospital, she found passion in educating new parents, and being a preceptor to new students.

Alex is always continuing her education with new courses, including Clinical Instructor certificate through the Canadian Nurse Educators Institute, and is working towards her Excellence in Teaching and Learning Certificate.

Alex has a passion for Simulation experiences and enjoys guiding students through this process here at RDP.
As an instructor, Alex values a supportive learning environment, and hands on experience within the lab, she integrates different learning strategies to facilitate all students learning
