Biography

Naved Ahmad is a business instructor in the Donald School of Business, Science and Computing (DSBSC) at Red Deer Polytechnic. His current research interests include corruption, trade and convergence theory. 

He published his research in the British Food Journal, Quality and Quantity, Journal of Economic Policy Reform and many others. He also serves as a referee for several leading economics journals. He presented his research at conferences in Indonesia, Japan, Pakistan, Turkey and the USA.   

Dr. Ahmad is a member of the American Economic Association (AEA) and the Canadian Economic Association (CEA). He received the Miss Hina Ahmed Gold Medal and the Chancellor and President Gold Medal. He has international teaching experience at Northeastern University, Yasar University, Karachi University and the Institute of Business Administration (IBA).      

Dr. Ahmad has completed the UNCTAD Virtual Institute online course on Trade and Poverty and a six-month Joint WTI-PITAD Master Trainer Program at the World Trade Institute, University of Bern, Switzerland.
