Biography

Rebekah received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the Red Deer Polytechnic/University of Alberta collaborative program in 2007.  

She started her nursing career in the Intensive Care Unit and spent 17 years working in correctional centres across central Alberta and the Calgary zone. Her passion for vulnerable populations has been threaded through her entire nursing career. 

She began teaching as a sessional instructor at Red Deer Polytechnic part-time in 2009. Rebekah obtained a Masters of Nursing from the University of Calgary in 2014 at which time she became a continuous faculty member.   

Rebekah left RDP to pursue other ventures in private practice and co-founded 2 successful start-ups in the medical aesthetics domain. She recently returned to central Alberta to further her passion for post-secondary education. In her current role as Clinical Lead, Rebekah works closely with faculty and students to ensure an enriching learning environment is created.  

Outside of work, you can find Rebekah enjoying long walks with her black lab, spending time with friends and family, and pursuing an array of hobbies.
