Submit your application through Apply Alberta. On this website, you will find a list of items that you need to gather before you start your application process.
Apply online and submit supporting documents. Once your tuition deposit is paid, you will receive a Letter of Acceptance or information on why your application was not approved.

Submit Documentation
Your application is not complete until you submit all required documentation found in the "Admission" tab of the program page. Add all documents to your application or send to Admissions as soon as you get them.
Log in to MyRDP and check back often!
Check your student email, MyRDP, and the email address you used to apply so you don't miss any updates about your application.

Congratulations, You're Accepted! Now What?
Pay Tuition Deposit
You have 30 days from the date of admission to pay your non-refundable tuition deposit and secure your seat.

This is your student portal and has a ton of helpful information. Set up your account and take some time to explore!
Check Academic Dates and Schedules
One of your responsibilities as a student is to know when important dates and deadlines are, plus there are fun events too!

Set up Housing
We offer a variety of housing options, so you’ll be sure to find just the right living space for your needs. Residence fills up fast, apply early!

Access Accessibility Services
We’re here to support students with disabilities, chronic health conditions, or temporary illnesses that affect learning.
If you have documentation showing how these challenges impact your academics, you may qualify for accommodations.
Get Credit for Prior Learning
If you have completed previous post-secondary education, you can apply for Prior Learning or Transfer Credit!
Prior learning can include:
- formal learning at another institution
- informal learning (e.g. as a volunteer, through self-study, open online courses)
- non-formal learning (e.g. non-credit education, job training, certifications)

Orientation Day & Welcome Week
Each Semester, RDP and the SARDP create a week full of everything you need to start the semester right: think fun activities, creative crafts, and info fairs to get you in the know. Plus, did we mention the free food?
Before Your Program Starts
Apply for Student Awards
Thanks to our generous donors and partners, RDP provides over $1.1M each year to students through awards & scholarships!
Applications are open from March 1 - May 31 each year.
Apply through your MyRDP account.
Register for Courses
Unless you are in a 'pre-set registration' program, you must register for your classes beginning in May of each year.
Once you are registered in classes, you can access your 'Confirmation of Enrolment' through your MyRDP account.
Access your Student E-mail
Once you have registered for courses, your RDP email address will be activated.
Important information is sent to this account, so log in and check it frequently! Access your email account through MyRDP.
Review your Technology Requirements
Many programs have specific technology requirements, found in the “Admissions” section of the program page.
Complete your Online Orientation (International Students Only)
Complete your Foundations for Success course before arriving at RDP to ensure you are prepared to begin your studies in Canada.
Confirm & Pay Tuition and Fees
Once you have registered for courses, your tuition and fees owing for the term will be reflected in your student account.
Access the Tuition and Fees card in your MyRDP account to review what you owe and explore the various payment options.
Tuition and fees must be paid in full by the term deadline. Make sure your funding is in place, or that you’ve requested a payment plan, if applicable, before that deadline.
Confirm your SARDP Health & Dental Benefits
Most students are automatically enrolled in the SARDP Health & Dental Plan. To learn more, or opt-out if you have alternative coverage, visit the SARDP website.
Submit Official Documents
If you attended a high school or post-secondary in Alberta, RDP will request your final, official transcript on your behalf.
Otherwise, it is your responsibility to provide RDP with official transcripts by the document deadline.
Submit your iCard Photo
Skip the lineups and apply for your iCard online!
Your iCard gets you access to a variety of services on campus, like the Library, Campus Store, and Food Services. Plus, many businesses & services in Red Deer and area offer discounts when you show them your iCard!
Save time by uploading your photo to have your iCard printed and ready for you when you arrive on campus !
Getting to Campus
RDP has secure bike storage available and is a hub for the Red Deer public transportation system. Bus Passes are available through the Students' Association at RDP
If you will be driving to campus, make sure you know your parking and payment options.
Check Add, Drop & Withdrawal Deadlines
Review the Course Add, Drop, and Withdrawal policy and procedure, so you know what options you have and what the deadlines are for making changes to your schedule.

Shop online (or in store) at the Campus Store for RDP gear, supplies, and textbooks.
Tip! Your instructors will give you your textbook list on Orientation Day or your first day of classes.
