Red Deer Polytechnic's academic schedule provides the Polytechnic community with important dates to help everyone plan their schedules.
The academic schedule shares information such as:
- when classes start and end each semester
- when final exams take place
- when Reading Week is held
- various other dates associated with academic and operational activities.

| May 19, 2025 | Victoria Day. Polytechnic closed. |
| May 20, 2025 | New Student Registration. |
| May 23, 2025 | Mid-term feedback for Spring term. |
| Jun 6, 2025 | Convocation |
| Jun 13, 2025 | Last day of classes for Spring term courses. Last day to withdraw from Spring term courses and receive a WD. |
| Jun 18, 2025 | First day of Final Exams for Spring term courses. |
| Jun 20, 2025 | Last day of Final Exams for Spring term courses. |
| Jun 21 - 22, 2025 | Annual Power Shutdown. |
| Jun 24, 2025 | Deferred Exams written for Spring term. |
| Jun 26, 2025 | Last day for submission of final grades. |
| Jun 27, 2025 | Final grades available. |
| Jun 30, 2025 | Polytechnic year ends. |
| Jul 1, 2025 | Canada Day - Polytechnic closed. 62nd Polytechnic year begins! |
| Jul 2, 2025 | First day of classes for Summer term. Last day to apply for Supplemental Exams for Spring term. |
| Jul 2, 2025 | First day of classes for Summer term. Last day to apply for Supplemental Exams. Tuition fees for summer term due. Registration will be cancelled if tuition is not paid. |
| Jul 5, 2025 | Supplemental Exams for Spring term written. |
| Jul 7, 2025 | Supplemental Exams written |
| Jul 8, 2025 | Last day to register, add or drop Summer term courses. Last day for tuition refund. |
