Red Deer Polytechnic's academic schedule provides the Polytechnic community with important dates to help everyone plan their schedules.
The academic schedule shares information such as:
- when classes start and end each semester
- when final exams take place
- when Reading Week is held
- various other dates associated with academic and operational activities.

| Jul 30, 2025 | Mid-term feedback for Summer term. |
| Aug 1, 2025 | First day to apply for Spring 2026 |
| Aug 4, 2025 | Heritage Day - Polytechnic closed |
| Aug 14, 2025 | Last day of classes. Last day to withdraw from Summer term courses and receive a WD. |
| Aug 20, 2025 | First day of Final Exams. |
| Aug 22, 2025 | Last day of Final Exams. |
| Aug 27, 2025 | Tuition Fees for Fall term and Full year courses due. Registration will be cancelled if tuition is not paid. Deferred Exams written. Last day of course waitlist for Fall term. |
| Aug 29, 2025 | Last day for submission of final grades. |
| Aug 31, 2025 | Final grades available. |
| Sep 1, 2025 | Labour Day - Polytechnic closed. |
| Sep 2, 2025 | New Student Orientation |
| Sep 3, 2025 | First day of classes for Fall term. |
| Sep 8, 2025 | Last day to apply for Supplemental Exams. |
| Sep 11, 2025 | Last day to register, add or drop Fall term of Full year courses. Last day for tuition refund. Supplemental Exams written. |
| Sep 30, 2025 | National Day of Truth and Reconciliation - Polytechnic Closed |
| Oct 1, 2025 | First day to apply for Fall term 2026. |
| Oct 7, 2025 | Emergency Response Day. |
| Oct 13, 2025 | Thanksgiving Day - Polytechnic closed. |
| Oct 14 - 17, 2025 | Reading Break - No credit classes. |
